This year's forum will include expert speakers covering some of the diverse range of our marine environment. A field trip to our new Marine Park will be the start of an informative and exciting days programme.

A large collection of the winners and selected images from the 3rd Festival Photographic competition will be on public display. Held alongside this display will be an art exhibition by local painters, who will be at hand to display their skills and provide helpful tips.

A free community slide night with three expert speakers providing a brief snapshot of a different aspect of the Barwon Heads wildlife from the land, sea and sky.

The aim of the Day will be to celebrate the diversity and beauty of our marine and costal environment, to provide positive experiences that give students a greater insight into the issues that effect the Barwon River catchment and inspire students to care for these areas in the future. (Bellarine Secondary College project.)

Imagine the whole school having a day at the beach. This will be a day with a difference as the kids explore the new marine park and learn more about our delicate marine environment.
Called "Patsy the Singing Songbook" this modern production tells the story of today's children and some of the issues that confront them. Set in a playground the play uses songs and stories to highlight their problems and importantly also teaches them ways of helping solve these issues. Aimed at primary school children this play by local music teacher Debbie Podbury will feature children from Barwon Heads & Ocean Grove. All Saints Anglican Church at 7:30pm.
Saturday 15th
At the ends of the street Information Tents will be located to provide you will programs outlining the festivals activities. Here you will also be able to purchase racing ducks for the Blood Toyota Duck Race or drop off your trained duck ready for the big day tomorrow.

Hitchcock Avenue is closed off and the traditional Saturday market will come alive with music and over 50 stalls selling everything from home made foods and fruit & vegies to photography; crafts, art work to soaps and scents; jewellery to chocolate fudge and lots more. Stalls will stretch from the community hall down the street where local churches and community groups will have goods for sale, food stalls and information stands.
Using On Shore Gallery as the start a short walk has been created to take you to various venues, including the artists homes, to experience the diversity of our local artists from pottery, stone work and woodwork to more traditional art forms of painting and illustrating.

Following on from the success of the first expo last year 2003 will see an expansion of stands and information booths conducted in the main street. This free expo will provide information, demonstrations, services and products to encourage the community to live sustainably. Come along and learn how to make a difference around the house and garden.
Especially for kids to have fun this area will feature a free fully supervised jumping castle. Members of the Barwon Heads Kindergarten will have a stall with face painting, hair braiding and lucky dip. While the Guides will have candle making, with Kids for Cancer group running plaster painting. Plus lots more throughout the street.
Screen Actors Studio will be running a free to the public TV acting workshop for children up to their early teens. Commencing at 10am these sessions will run on an hour on and an hour off basis, until 5pm. Each session would consist of ½ an hour of improvisation games and ½ an hour of performing a scene from a popular TV show, which would be filmed and played back to the participants.
With the assistance of the City of Greater Geelong's Youth services you will be able to join in the design and painting of a series of large mural panels.
With the assistance of the Geelong Writer's an afternoon of poetry and readings, with an open microphone operating for you to be involved, will be held at Signature Café from 2:30pm.

With the help of the City of Greater Geelong Youth Services a free skating zone has been set up to allow kids to learn and have fun in a fully supervised environment. Safety equipment & skateboards available.
Continuing the tradition of showcasing local talent with a fine mix of some new faces Starfish Bakery and Barwon Orange will have performers such as Paul Carrigg, Hot Club Swing, The Ya Ya's, Women in Docs, Brent Parlane, Sharon Riley, Enda Kenny and the Piranha Bros.
This year we have the Guyett Real Estate Street Stage, located at the Bridge Rd end of Hitchcock Ave, providing you with more room to enjoy a diverse range of performers and acts such as ballet dancing, barbershop choir plus more live band action with Chubby Rea & the Elevators and the Diddley Daddies.
Later Saturday night
Come and join in a great night of bush dancing with the Geelong Folk Group. A real night of fun is promised and with all the dances being called everyone can join in. Barwon Head's community hall - 8pm to 11pm. BYO basket supper.

Sunday 16th
Commencing at 9am a combined churches service will be held on the lawn stage. Everyone is welcome to join in a moment of prayer and celebration. Followed by the official opening involving representatives of the traditional land owners, the Wathaurong.
Start the day by joining this morning session of Tai Chi on the banks of the Barwon River. Come along at 9:30 to join in.
Using the City of Greater Geelong's Art Grant we had commissioned artists to build, make, paint or simply create their work at the Festival. Some of the artists will be working on their projects during the day, while others will have their finished works on display. Come and have a look, you will be amazed.
Through the Geelong Kite Club and Kite Power a demonstration of kites of all shapes and sizes will be held on the beach area. See stunt kites, power kites and buggies plus if weather allows kite surfing near RAAFS beach. Experts will be on hand to show you the ropes!
With over $5,000 in prize money and up to 1,000 yellow ducks all racing up the river towards the finish line at the Ozone Street jetty, this years race will even more thrilling and spectacular. If our tide calculations are correct the ducks will be "released" from the centre of the bridge at 11:00am.
All ducks should be handed in at the information booth at the rotunda in the centre lawn area by 10:30am at the latest.
The Food and Wine Fair is designed not only for you to enjoy yourself but to sample the delights of our growing range of cafes and restaurants. Food stalls will spread around the lawns, providing both a picturesque and comfortable setting, for you to take in the music on the lawn stage. The bar will not only provide a cold beer, but also showcase several wineries including Clyde Park, Scotchman's Hill and Penfolds. Scrumptious food provided by At the Heads, Beachnik Café, Ganesh, Peppercorn Café, The Garage, Seaweed Sushi, Wathaurong, and more.

A host of local environment groups and management agencies will display their activities, discuss the importance of caring for our environments and show you how you can become involved and make a difference. Discover the wonders of our wetlands, woodlands, estuary, cliffs, dunes and marine habitats. There are plenty of experts to answer questions and loads of activities to get you up close and personal with our amazing coast.
Activities and short walks include:

· Discover the Lobster Pot
Groups involved include Friends of the Bluff, Jirrahlinga, Fish Care, Marine Discovery Centre, Friends of Ocean Grove Nature Reserve, Coast Care, Vic Parks and more.
Located next to the all the sumptuous food stalls the lawns in front of the stage provide the perfect picnic spot. Great music can be heard all day, and with such a fantastic view, what more could you want?
The first session by Paul Carrigg will be followed after the Blood Toyota Duck Race by the dancers from KC Dance Co and Samsara Belly Dancers plus Women in Docs, The Bibbits, Sally Dastey and to finish off Tim Neal and band.
