As
the rocky shore shore is on the edge of the land and sea the conditions
are continually influenced by the waves and tides.
The
animals and plants have adapted to live with these changes.
Marine
snails have protective shells. They move over the rocks feeding
on the algae and cling tightly when the waves wash over them.
Some
of the seaweeds grow in the sheltered rocks pools. Many smaller
animals live amongst the seaweed.
