Born in Adelaide, I became a diver at 14 and explored the many wonders of the temperature waters of South Australia. I move to Townsville to complete a Marine Biology degree at James Cook University and I have since explored many parts of the Great Barrier Reef. I have held various positions with the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority including Reef Interpretation Officer and Reef Guardian Schools Project Officer.
I have conducted and developed Great Barrier Reef marine education programs for students from Kindergarten to University. In 2008, I lived and worked on Lady Elliot Island where I conducted various marine education programs for guests and students. In 2010, I completed my Master of Education for Sustainability at James Cook University and gained employment as the Community Support Officer for the natural resource management organisation for the Burdekin dry tropics region, NQ Dry Tropics. I am passionate about fostering sustainable behaviour changes in the community and inspiring people of all ages to learn and care for marine ecosystems.
