WWF, the conservation organisation, works to stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and helps build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. WWF has been working globally since 1961 and in Australia since 1978. |

WWF conservation activities span Australia's forests, woodlands, grasslands, fresh water, threatened species natural resources, oceans and coasts. Their marine work extends from the tropical waters of the Arafura Sea and Great Barrier Reef, to the icy waters of the Southern Ocean.
Projects include monitoring sea turtles; surveying collecting and reporting on marine debris found in our waters; protection for threatened species such as sharks, whales and albatrosses; conserving our natural marine environments, and promoting the sustainable management of fisheries.
You can find out more about WWF by visiting their website - www.wwf.org.au - where you can spread the word about the richness of Australia's marine life with their exclusive Seaweek e-cards. |
