    Hands and Feet
A frog or toad's hands and feet can tell us
a great deal about how it lives.

    Tree frogs have
    extra-long legs
    for climbing and
    jumping. Suckers
    on their fingers and
    toes give tree frogs
    a strong grip on
    shiny leaves or even
    on glass.

    THE COMMON RINGTAIL
    POSSUM'S RELATIVES

There are two main groups of marsupials:

    • those with six front teeth in the lower jaw;
    • those with two front teeth in the lower jaw.
Possums belong to the second group because
They have two fron teeth in the lower jaw.
Koalas, wombats and kangaroos also belong to
    this group.
